December 1st, 2024 / Houston, TX - “The Statue of Union” a statue of the Hindu god, Hanuman, built as a part of the Sri Ashtalakshmi Temple, is visible from the parking lot of an auto repair shop. The statue was completed in August of 2024, and at 90 feet tall and weighing 90 tons, it is the third largest statue in the United States.

Daniel Shanthakumar opened the restaurant in 1993 after moving to the American West from Chennai, India. Bombay House has become a local institution, serving as both a business and a bridge between cultures.

October 1st, 2024 / Edison, NJ - Sreekanth Akkapalli brought TV9, the largest Indian news network to North America and is working to bring the news from India to the Western world and vice versa.

December 10th, 2024 / Palo Alto, CA - This organized group for senior citizens of Indian origin in Palo Alto meets regularly to build community and fight the loneliness that they would typically face alone at home. For one of their December get-togethers, they had a holiday party that involved a Christmas show where they performed a choreographed dance to “Santa Baby”, exchanged gifts, and had a potluck where they brought in traditional Indian food items.
